Sunflower Bank, N.A. is looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager I to join our team! The Portfolio Manager is responsible for gathering, analyzing and interpreting financial and credit information in order to assess the creditworthiness of Sunflower Bank’s commercial customers, focusing on Sunflower Bank’s complex commercial loan relationships. The incumbent will assist Business Bankers in supporting new and existing loan relationships with an emphasis on maximizing credit quality and minimizing risk.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS:
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or similar field. In lieu of a degree, applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a formal credit training program or certification.
- 2 + years of experience in credit analysis/portfolio management in a commercial lending environment required.
Possess sound area of underwriting in areas of commercial lending such as commercial real estate, commercial & industrial lending and SBA lending.
In addition to those of a PM I:
Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Participate in departmental or bank-wide projects.
Provide financial technical advice and assistance to business bankers and customers.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
Remain educated and informed about industry trends, community developments, market conditions and reglatory requirements and understand their effect on the Bank's lending criteria.
