Job Description

Sunflower Bank, N.A is looking for a candidate to join our Risk and Compliance team! The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Analyst II ensures due diligence is performed to comply with AML/KYC regulations. Primary responsibilities include oversight, tracking, quality control and reporting of various BSA tasks. The Analyst develops expertise in the BSA and applicable federal and state laws, regulations and guidance. Other duties include, but are not limited to, researching and analyzing large amounts of data, correctly deciphering higher risk attributes and dispositions, analyzing reports to ensure proper oversight of BSA forms and/or scans, performing quality control checks on various areas of the AML Program, and detecting potentially suspicious activities.

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in finance, banking or a related field.
  • Experience with BSA/AML preferred.
  • CAMS or related AML certification preferred- maintaining or pursuing.
  • Must possess strong writing, analytical, and communication skills and be able to multi-task and complete projects on time.
  • Must possess knowledge of laws applicable to money transmitters, to include BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, US Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements.
  • Auditing background, preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and database management, preferred.
