Job Description

The Implementation Consultant will oversee and direct implementations of Unicorn HRO’s successful iCON HRIS/Payroll application with our client companies.  iCON is a SaaS based solution that includes Payroll, Benefits Administration, Human Resources, Employee Self Service and Manager Self Service modules.

The successful candidate will have a background in Project Management, Human Resources, Payroll and Benefit Administration. 

This position is based in our Durham NC offices.  Relocation is not offered at this time. 

This position is an on-site Unicorn HRO position, with travel requirements to client sites of approximately 20% or higher based on client request.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll Practices
  • Provide implementation services including setup/configuration, testing and client training
  • Collaborate as a team member of a Implementation Project Team to provide implementation services
  • Lead client implementations in a Project Leader Role,  directing the full implementation of Unicorn HRO modules
  • Provide documentation that describes custom programming requirements (new features or functionality needed by the client, changes to base product)
  • Participate as needed in product testing
  • Provide suggestions for enhancements as requested by clients
  • Participate with Unicorn HRO’s Product Support Team when needed to resolve client reported issues / questions
  • Acquire new skills and knowledge to stay at the forefront of Human Resource / Payroll information systems
Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience implementing Human Resource / Payroll solutions as a vendor
  • Experience with Business Analytics and Project Management Best Practices
  • Experience working with Remote Teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analysis, documentation, change control, task management and time management skills
  • Must be organized with strong client focus
  • Must have excellent process and project management skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills  (particularly MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project)
  • IBM Cognos BI experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or IT related field preferred.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) Preferred
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) Preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills  (particularly MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Project)
