Join the new Orthopedic Specialty Clinic located in Roseville - JOINT PERFORMANCE INITIATIVE (JPI)!

JPI is adjacent to Sutter Medical Center in Roseville, owned and operated by Shawn Burger, PT. JPI was created to fill a unique niche in the community to service and focus on joint related issues covering the non-pre-post-surgical spectrum.  Services are provided through a comprehensive team that includes PT, PTA, ATCs and CMTs with each specialty entrusted to focus on their area of expertise. 

Patients who attend services at JPI, are treated via a unique system where PTs/PTAs focus on assessment, development and progression of plan of cares while performing hands on manual therapy.  Exercises are dosed and progressed by ATCs and performance trainers under collaboration with all clinicians. Patients are treated for over an hour in most cases and the treating staff meets no less then weekly to thoroughly review cases. 

You read that correctly - the schedule is Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 6:00 pm, work 6 hours, get paid for 8! This is a unique clinic with an active, supportive and hard-working team approach - let us tell you more about it!

The successful treating PTA specializes in manual therapy and understands its roll within the context of a multidisciplinary team whose focus is on the management and treatment of orthopedic injuries, pathologies and or dysfunctions.

Compensation:

  • $48/hr or $99,840/annually - this will be an exempt position!
  • PTO = 22 days ($7920-$8800 a year)
  • Health Medical-Dental
  • Paid Education ($2000 yr) towards student loans, con-ed, Medbridge

 

Skills & Requirements

Education Requirements: 

  • Physical Therapist Assistant, CA
  • Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience

Education Preferences:

  • Demonstrates background in Manual Therapy through advanced certifications, trainings and or degrees.  E.g. but not exclusive = FAAOMPT, COMT, IASTM, Mulligan, Dry Needling…
  • Demonstrates background in understanding the rolls of athletic trainers, performance trainers and their role in the rehabilitation paradigm.
  • Demonstrates background in latest research, continuing education preferences and trends.
  • Demonstrates current understanding of modalities, their use and benefits as an adjunct vs a primary driver of care.  Understand that modalities have a place in most plan of cares as adjuncts to care either through management of swelling, pain, muscle motor and or neurological facilitation.    Accepts that most patients enjoy and find value in modalities.
