As a Commercial  Automobile Material Damage Adjuster, you will serve as a real partner to our members by processing claims accurately and efficiently so they can resume their life's work without unnecessary delay. Responsibilities:

  • Make initial and subsequent contacts.
  • Review and interpret coverage.
  • Request contracts and review for risk transfer.
  • Review and interpret state statutes.
  • Make liability decisions and communicate appropriately.
  • Request estimates, hire independent adjusters
  • Evaluate property damage.
  • Request authority from leadership when over adjuster's authority.
  • Determine appropriate resolution strategy.
  • Negotiate and settle claims
  • Administrative work with claims system.
  • Refer injury claims to casualty teams and collaborate to resolve.

 

Skills & Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong customer relations skills.
  • 3 years in the handling of auto material damage claims.
  • Property and Casualty License in 15 states of domiciled in a state with reciprocity.

 

Recommended Qualifications:

  • SCLA and AIC designation preferred.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Adjusters license preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of comparative negligence and liability.
  • Familiarity with estimating software a plus.
  • Ability to take responsibility and work independently in a home based environment.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations. 
  • Ability to formulate sound expense, indemnity, and business judgment while supporting loss evaluations and presenting them effectively.

 

Compensation:

  • $52,500 - $87,500 commensurate with experience, plus bonus eligibility
  • $57,900 - $96,500 commensurate with experience in CA, CT, MA, NJ, NY, and PA, plus bonus eligibility

 

*The successful candidate will initially be hired as an employee of GuideOne Insurance Company and automatically become an employee of TMG on the company's official transition date.
