Full-time Job Announcement

Position: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) Program Chair/Instructor

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the program in its entirety.
  • Oversee in-facility test dates scheduled by the program.
  • Teach in simulation and laboratory settings.
  • Clinical and classroom instruction.
  • Curriculum implementation and evaluation.
  • Work with regulators to maintain full accreditation.
  • Perform other work duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience as an RN, one (1) of which must have been in a long-term care facility (nursing home).
  • Must have completed a course in teaching adults or have experience in teaching adults and/or supervising nurse aids.
  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Two (2) years teaching experience in a CNA Program.
  • Experience with simulation and technology.
