A full-time Psychologist position is currently available with Liberty Healthcare, serving nursing home clients residing at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill (DHCI).

DHCI is a 105-bed skilled nursing home, located in Smyrna, Delaware - about 40 minutes south of Wilmington.

The responsibilities of this position primarily involve:

  • Providing Psychological services to older adults and people who have disabilities
  • Administering various psychological assessments
  • Conducting competency evaluations
  • Providing individual, group and family counseling and psycho-educational services
  • Providing consultation to families
  • Training clinical ancillary team members and caregivers

Skills & Requirements

You're a good fit for this position if you are licensed as a Psychologist in Delaware and have an interest in serving geriatric clients and people who have disabilities.

Prior experience providing psychological services to individuals who are struggling with dementia, Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injury, mental illness, addictions and end of life issues is helpful but not required.
