Liberty Healthcare is now accepting applications for an Executive Clinical Director position which is anticipated to become available in the Spring of 2025.

This is a key leadership role which is responsible for ensuring the overall quality of behavioral health services provided to over 500 clients of the Illinois Department of Human Services Treatment and Detention Facility (TDF).  Clients are court-ordered to the TDF under the State of Illinois’ sexually violent persons commitment act.

The TDF provides sex offence specific treatment in a safe and structured residential environment. Residential treatment dovetails with a community-based program which provides continued treatment, supervision, case management and monitoring to clients who have been conditionally released into the community.

Liberty Healthcare’s clinical team at the TDF is comprised of over forty Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Counselors, Behavioral Technicians, Recreation Therapists and ancillary professionals. The TDF is a training facility and hosts a Predoctoral Psychology Internship and Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.

Located in Rushville, Illinois – the facility is about an hour drive from Springfield and a few hours’ drive from Chicago, St. Louis and the Quad Cities.

Liberty Healthcare’s Executive Clinical Director at the TDF is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the quality of behavioral health services provided to 500+ clients
  • Directly and indirectly supervising a team of 40+ behavioral health professionals
  • Keeping abreast of best practices in sex offender treatment
  • Overseeing quality assurance initiatives and ensuring clinical services are consistent with best practices
  • Ensuring all clinical staff are well-trained and competent within their professions
  • Providing fiscal and administrative oversight of clinical services
  • Serving as primary liaison with stakeholders at various State agencies

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you possess the following:

  • Professional licensure as a Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
  • Knowledge of best practices in sex offender treatment and cognitive behavioral health methods
  • Successful track record of managing mental health services
  • Experience leading behavioral health professionals
