Liberty Healthcare is now accepting applications for a full-time Nurse Supervisor position with our forensic mental health program which is based at the West Valley Detention Center – a San Bernardino County jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

This program exclusively serves adult jail inmates who are experiencing mental illness. Program objectives include facilitating early access to mental health assessment and treatment as well as providing effective competency training and restoration services.

As Liberty Healthcare’s Nurse Supervisor, you will enjoy an array of clinical and managerial responsibilities, including:

  • Providing nursing leadership to the program
  • Hiring, training and managing a small team of LVNs and Psych Techs
  • Helping to ensure program clients receive high quality mental health nursing services
  • Actively participating in treatment team meetings
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians and ancillary professionals
  • Providing direct care / nursing services to program clients
  • Consulting on challenging clinical cases

This position will require you to work onsite at the West Valley Detention Center Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

As a new employee in this leadership role, you can expect:

  • Starting salary between $125,000 and $140,000 (depending on qualification)

Skills & Requirements

You are a good fit for this position if you are licensed professionally in California as a Registered Nurse and have experience providing nursing care to people with mental illness.  Supervisory experience is preferred.
