Liberty Healthcare is now hiring for a full-time “Intake Caseworker” position.

Because this program's phone line and intake operations are open 24 hours / day, 7 days / week, 365 days / year, this position adheres to a "Flex Schedule" – covering a 16-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday (your choice) & 3 additional 8-hour daytime shifts during the week.

While residency in Pennsylvania is a firm requirement, this is a full-time virtual position which will allow you to work virtually from your home office & commute into our Harrisburg office a couple times per year.

As an Intake Caseworker, you will process incoming information from concerned individuals who are reporting allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment of adults of adults who have intellectual, mental and physical disabilities - under Pennsylvania’s Adult Protective Services (APS) Act 70.  

Your responsibilities will rely heavily on detail-focused procedural documentation & database queries, in order to classify allegations according to acuity and triage cases to team members for investigation.

You can expect $18.26 per hour (approximately $38,000 annually) and a comprehensive benefits package – including 30 days annual paid time off, health, dental and vision options.

Skills & Requirements

You’re a good fit for this position if you possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related health & human service field.  Relevant professional experience may serve as a substitute for a college degree –  including experience in human & social services, protective services, supports coordination, investigations or law enforcement. 

High proficiency with computers and working within databases is required.

Familiarity with SAMs, HCSIS, EIM, CIS or eCIS is preferred.

Those who have experience as an EMS dispatcher, 911 operator or emergency services intake and triage specialist are also encouraged to apply.
