Due to organizational growth, Liberty Healthcare is hiring for several new full-time Options Counselor positions throughout Kansas.

As an Options Counselor, you will actively contribute to a statewide Aging and Disability Resource Center system which supports older individuals and people who are living with disabilities.

Service objectives include:

  • Functioning as the “go to” resource for individuals who are seeking information on long term care and other community-based services and supports
  • Providing person-centered planning to individuals in a way that supports their informed decision making and ability to secure services which will enable them to live as independently as possible

Your day-to-day responsibilities as an Options Counselor will involve:

  • Fielding a high volume of phone calls and email requests
  • Talking with individuals and their families about their needs
  • Providing information and answering questions
  • Connecting people with appropriate services and supports
  • Traveling throughout the region to meet with individuals in-person
  • Documenting interactions, services and relevant information in computer systems

This is a hybrid position which will require you to travel to various locations throughout the region and allow you to partially work from your home office.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • Annual compensation: $50,000

  • Willingness to use your vehicle to travel throughout the region

Applicants who have leadership experience will be considered for an available Lead Options Counselor role which involves the duties listed above as well as responsibility for supervising a team of six Options Counselors and various quality monitoring and management activities.
