POSITION SUMMARY
RIZZO International, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Manager who would be responsible for the overall operation of the laboratory on a day-to-day basis.
SCOPE OF POSITION
· Supervision of the laboratory including personnel, equipment, and test procedures.
· Day-to-day execution and direction of laboratory testing.
· Plans and communicates daily testing activities.
· Maintaining and controlling company Measuring and Testing Equipment (M&TE)
· Calibration of company M&TE including performing calibration.
· Working with accrediting bodies to maintain company accreditation
· Conducting Sample Proficiency Testing to maintain accreditation
· Maintaining laboratory documents and records
· Audit participation as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Domestic and international travel, when necessary.
· The Laboratory Manager is responsible for performing activities in accordance with the QHSE Manual and other procedures
applicable to the position.
Note that this position could be for Tennessee, Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· High-school diploma, or equivalent
· Must have a minimum of the following ACI certifications:
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1
- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician - Grade 1
- ACI Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1
· NICET Construction Materials Testing-Concrete Level 1 (Level III preferred) Engineering Technician or higher preferred
· RCC Mix Design experience
· CBR Testing (preferred)
· Must have 3-8 years of related experience including performing testing on soil, rock, and relevant construction materials
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs; frequent standing and stooping; exposure to weather conditions; exposure to noise; exposure to dust; exposure to chemicals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000 - $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
