POSITION SUMMARY
RIZZO International, Inc. is seeking a Senior Testing Manager who would be responsible for the overall operation of the company’s corporate and remote laboratories on a day-to-day basis.
SCOPE OF POSITION
· Supervise of the construction material testing laboratories including laboratory testing, personnel and adherence to ASTM, AASHTO,
CCRL, USACE test procedures as required.
· Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities of laboratory testing.
· Maintain all laboratory measuring and testing equipment (M&TE)
· Ensure appropriate equipment is provided for each onsite lab, per specification requirements.
· Coordinate calibration and perform internal verification of M&TE.
· Maintain company accreditation and perform the proficiency sample tests.
· Document and maintain all laboratory related documents and records
· Participate in laboratory audits, as required.
· Perform other laboratory related duties, as required.
· Implement and execute the Corporate QHSE Manual and other applicable procedures to the position and activity.
· Domestic and international travel, when necessary.
· Excellent communication and organization skills.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
· High-school diploma, or equivalent
· Must have a minimum of the following ACI certifications
o ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1
o ACI Concrete Strength Testing TechnicianACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1
o ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician
o ACI Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1
· Experience in supervising a construction material testing laboratory (preferred).
· Must have 8+ years of related experience including performing testing on concrete, soil, rock, and/or relevant construction materials.
· RCC Mix Design experience (preferred)
· Experience with special material testing such as CBR, LA Abrasion, Direct Shear, Alkali Reactivity of Aggregates Testing (preferred)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently, and ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 lbs; frequent standing, walking on uneven surfaces and stooping; exposure to weather conditions; exposure to noise; exposure to dust; exposure to chemicals (with ppe)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000 - $120,000+ per year (commensurate with experience)
Signing Bonus: $20,000
