If so, then you have what it takes to be successful as a Yardi Specialist in the I.T. Department at Maloney Properties. We are looking for a person with strong customer service, critical thinking, and analytical skills to support Yardi, our web-based, property management software. Come join us as we implement and support the technology used by our Property Management, Facilities, and Central Office staff.

Under the direction of the Information Technology Director, the Yardi Support Specialist is a crucial member of the team managing Yardi, our web-based property management software. This is an hourly position which provides essential support to all administrative departments and property sites during operating hours.

Your responsibilities will include:

·        Helping users with Yardi.

·        Working the help desk queue.

·        Training users.

·        Helping configure and customize Yardi, when needed.

·        Working closely with other I.T. staff members and vendors.

·        Supporting users who may occasionally be stressed or frustrated with technology.

·        Willingly participating in continual self-improvement and process improvement.

The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00. We are offering the flexibility to work from home or in-office, although reporting to our Central Office in Wellesley, MA will be needed occasionally. 


Skills & Requirements

Any understanding of property management, affordable housing compliance, accounting, and related software like Yardi, or Real Page is a bonus, but you don’t have to have experience in all these areas to apply. We will train qualified individuals with the potential to become an in-house expert in Yardi and property management. If you have strong computer systems and applications expertise and you shine in the area of customer service, you also are a good candidate. This role will be providing remote support and troubleshooting, so phone skills, “Zoom” skills, and remote support skills are key to your success – as are written communication skills. This role will support all levels of the organization, so you must be comfortable speaking to a wide-ranging audience, all with varying computer skills. A strong sense of team and desire to help others is woven into our company culture. Since your role makes you one of the most computer-savvy workers in our company, you will also be asked to help the I.T. team provide limited desktop support for software and hardware issues.

·        A thirst for knowledge: The technology we support and our company are constantly evolving. This role requires a natural curiosity for how things work, and a desire for improvement.

The following skills are a plus, but not required at the time of hire. Training will be provided in these areas, and increasing proficiency is expected after the training period:

·        Industry experience in property management or affordable housing compliance

·        Experience with Yardi Voyager, a property management software

·        Experience with accounting ledgers, particularly housing and affordable housing.
