Maintenance Technician

Highgate Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a team of maintenance professionals for our residential community in Barre, VT.  The community consists of 120 units. The work hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. Summer hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 2:30pm on Friday.  Responsibilities include completion of work orders, preventative maintenance, unit turnovers, and seasonal groundskeeping.  Also assist with weekly food pick-up from local vendors for the resident food pantry.

The successful candidate will have basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, janitorial, and HVAC.  Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred.  Must be available to participate in the emergency on-call service rotation and snow removal. A valid Driver’s License with access to a vehicle is required. Basic computer experience is required.  Experience with Yardi is a plus.
