The Manager of Contracting Services will oversee the management of multiple construction and renovation projects and will supervise our Contracting Services team. In addition, this Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients and contractors. The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Analyze and create project scopes. Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Ensure projects remain in-scope and meet budgetary, scheduling, and quality requirements.
- Ensure proper communication concerning changes in milestones or challenges that may affect the outcome of a project's completion date.
- Manage the handling and assigning of daily tasks.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular formal/informal meetings with MPI departments and ownership to ensure open communication and expectations throughout a project.
- Negotiate with General Contractors and Subcontractors.
- Provide support for Facilities Operations in identifying, development of scopes of work and implementation of capital improvement, fire/flood restoration, redevelopment projects.
- Assist with Facilities policy and procedure compliance to improve work efficiency in Facilities Operations.
This position will be based out of our Central Office in Wellesley, MA with a hybrid work schedule. Travel to job sites and properties in the Greater Boston area will be required.
