Your Responsibilities

We are seeking candidates for a Maintenance Technician to support a large portfolio of residential properties in the South End and Lower Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston, MA. You will join our maintenance team whose responsibilities include:

• Performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for occupancy.
• Completing work orders, light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, and general building maintenance.
• Updating the Yardi mobile app and communicating with the Superintendent on completed and on-going work assignments.
• Assisting with capital projects and providing access to contractors as needed. 

The work hours are Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 with on-call duties shared on rotation. 

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong customer service philosophy.

• Some experience in residential property maintenance and skills in areas like plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC is required.
• The ability to work as part of a supportive and cohesive team, as well independently, is required.
• We are looking for someone who will cross train at other sites and learn the entire portfolio over time.
• The ability to communicate professionally by phone and email while using a smartphone app is required.
• Previous experience with Yardi or other management software preferred.
• This position includes participation in the emergency on-call rotation and snow removal.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

The pay range for this position is $24-27/hour.
