Your Responsibilities

Highgate Apartments is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant.  You will support 2 communities.  Highgate Apartments has 120 units in Barre, VT and Gile Hill has 76 units in Hanover, NH.  You will work out of the Highgate office.  The work hours are 8:30am to 4:30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  You will be responsible for answering phones, greeting visitors at the door, delivering messages to staff, and assisting with the once-a-week food distribution.  In addition, the Administrative Assistant will contact applicants and residents to schedule appointments, enter work orders, update misc. lists, and assist with the application and recertification verifications.  Other clerical duties such as filing will be required to help support the office.  You will be expected to conduct business in accordance with policies, procedures, and Fair Housing Laws, while maintaining the professional atmosphere in the office. 

Skills & Requirements

Your Qualifications

Previous administrative experience in property management is a plus.  MS Office skills are required.  A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.  You must be able to lift 50 lbs. (weekly food boxes) and live within 30 minutes of Barre.

Pay Range: $19-20/hour depending on previous experience.
