Your Responsibilities:

We are seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support our portfolio of four residential properties totaling 189 units in Mattapan and Hyde Park. Working closely with the Senior Property Manager, Administrative Assistant, and maintenance staff, your duties and responsibilities will include:  

  • Performing initial certifications and recertifications for residents under affordable housing programs such as PRAC 202 and LIHTC. 

  • Proactively processing applications for upcoming vacancies and leasing available units. 

  • Processing invoices and managing accounts receivable. 

  • Rent collections and bank deposits. 

  • Posting and reconciling subsidy payments. 

  • Responding to resident inquiries and handling any issues promptly and professionally.

  • Coordinating and overseeing maintenance and repair work, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

  • Maintaining accurate records of resident communications, leases, and property maintenance.

  • Overseeing legal cases and working with the site attorney.

  • Participating in preparation of monthly reports for the ownership group. 

  • Processing the month end closing reports.

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and property policies.

  • Other administrative duties to support the Senior Property Manager, as needed.  

The work hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. Your work week will be split between sites in Mattapan and Hyde Park. Some travel between sites will be required. 

Skills & Requirements

Your Qualifications:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated candidate with excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong customer service and communication skills will also be key to success in this role. 

  • Previous experience with recertifications and administration of Project-Based Section 8 and LIHTC programs is required.
  • One or more certification such as the COS, CPO, and C3P is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software is required; experience with Yardi is preferred.

Salary Range: $70,000-80,000 depending on previous experience.
