We are searching for a Business Intelligence Manager to support our team. This position is based out of our central business office in Glenview, IL.

The position is full time, working Monday-Friday forty (40) hours per week and is an exempt/salaried position.

The Manager, Business Intelligence develops and implements processes to identify department needs and implements any recommendations based on reporting/business data.

This person is responsible for developing and providing new business intelligence solutions. Duties specific to this function may include the assessment of the following: what decisions need to be made, why decisions need to be made, when decisions need to be made, and who will use the intelligence to make the decisions. Responsible for data discovery, mining, management, modeling, visualization, catalog development, as well as analytic model and report creation to help enable data-driven business decisions.

This position also provides quality assurance of reports generated for internal and external distribution and validates compliance with all corporate, contractual, and regulatory guidelines.

This position uses analytical skills to monitor plan key performance indicators and provide actionable data for plan business strategies as requested. This role also manages training for new employees and development for tenured employees as requested.


The Manager, Business Intelligence will design, monitor and supervise reporting solutions using Business Intelligence reporting technologies.
Manages and oversees the day to day operations of the business intelligence department. 
Partners with senior leadership to design reporting solutions that meet operational requirements, such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability.
The Manager, Business Intelligence will work with FCI and IntegraMed developers to implement robust and flexible enterprise reporting solutions.
Collaborates with teams to review and understand functional requirements including integration with all FCI systems (both financial and clinical).
Reviews and manages the ongoing implementation solution for validating best practices and improvement opportunities.
Creates and help manage efficient reporting data models. 
Participates in effort estimation of the reporting solution and provides a rationale. 
This position will supervise other BI team members in technical complexities of assigned work.
Responsible for the maintenance of master files of NextGen. 
Protects operations by keeping all patient and employee and company information confidential.

Skills & Requirements


Knowledge and experience in managed health care operations.
Knowledge of data storage structures and the various ways data can be applied to aid in business intelligence.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Visio, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Project, Tableau.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to document business requirements and assist in developing reporting standards.
MS Access or SQL Server Querying experience, enough to work with and test data.
Knowledge of one or more of the following: SQL, Crystal, Diamond, CRMS is a plus.
Database Architecture Design experience is a plus.
Good organizational and project management skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in related field in a health care, managed care or hospital environment.

Technical Skills: Manager, Business Intelligence uses complex computer programs to mine data sources and look for trends.

Analytical & Communication Skills: A major part of the job is to determine what data trends mean. Being able to analyze and make recommendations to senior leadership about the data is crucial.

Problem-Solving: Business intelligence need to look at the data trends and recommend solutions for creating more revenue and reducing loss.

Time Management: Business intelligence works on large projects and many data streams and many deadlines. Being able to juggle it all is crucial to the job.
