This role is suited to someone who is passionate about clinical trial project management, eager to keep learning, and ready to take ownership in a supportive environment. What you’ll do - Project Manager

- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements using tools such as Microsoft Project or Gantt charts.
- Monitor project finances, including scope, monthly invoicing, unit- or milestone-based deliverables, revenue performance, profit margins, and potential financial losses.
- Identify when changes in scope or change orders are needed and communicate the supporting rationale clearly.
- Manage external vendors and ensure their work aligns with project requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Review study protocols and ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with protocol requirements.
- Identify risks early, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Maintain regular communication with functional leads to understand priorities, resource needs, dependencies, and progress.
- Navigate competing priorities collaboratively and support effective resource planning across projects.
- Use performance metrics and KPIs to monitor execution and support strategic alignment.
- Contribute to standardized project management processes and a culture of continuous improvement.
Candidates who offer a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience listed below are encouraged to apply to Avania's Project Manager role. With our continued growth we are hiring talent to join us on our journey and grow with us.
What you’ll bring
- Ideally 3–5 years of experience in the clinical research industry, including experience leading clinical trials.
- Experience with medical device trials or global clinical trials.
- Strong project management skills, including timeline development, resource planning, financial oversight, risk management, and execution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Project or similar project planning tools is helpful.
- Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams without needing to be the subject-matter expert in every function.
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities, identify issues early, and maintain focus on quality.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to empowerment, ownership, and accountability.
