Daily Provisions is seeking a Line Cook to be a part of the team in Danny Meyer’s newest business. Daily Provisions shares the same kitchen Union Square Cafe, a renowned New York City dining experience.  A line cook at Daily Provisions will excel at directing the fast-paced intersection between plating and service, while up-holding each dish’s integrity as it delivered to our guests. This position actively embodies, inspires, & elevates USHG’s Family Values of Hospitality, Excellence, Entrepreneurial Spirit and Integrity.


Service periods include Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Skills & Requirements
  • Ability to maintain mental athleticism and coordination of tickets and sending out plates
  • Strong communication skills to convey needs and complete the transaction in a professional manner
  • Ability to maintain and ensure proper plate presentation and cleanliness before leaving the kitchen
  • Stay up to date on menu changes for all Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and Dessert shifts.
  • Have knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standards

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • A high level of product and ingredient knowledge specific to Daily Provisions (Line Cook Level)
  • Confidence in effectively communicating any inconsistencies to Sous Chefs and teammates
  • The ability to assist the Sous Chef in the training of new kitchen employees.
  • Good knife skills; clean & quick plating skills

Approximate Shift Times

  • 6:30am-3:00pm
  • 9:00am-5:30pm
  • 2:00pm-10:00pm

Additional information

  • Starting wage is $13.00 per hour with room for growth
