Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Order products and supplies.
  • Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with Busch’s receiving policies and procedures.
  • Execute policies, programs and procedures defined for restaurant operations.
  • Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
  • Ensure all waste is scanned out to maintain accurate shrink records.
  • Achieve Busch’s sanitation, food safety and safety standards.
  • Train and develop restaurant associates.
  • Prepare and plan for period end inventories.
  • Maintain a department plan to use seasons and seasonal food items to increase sales.
  • Achieve department sales and financial objectives.
  • Provide solid leadership and guidance to direct reports in absence of the Restaurant Manager.
  • Contribute to organizational effectiveness by offering information, suggestions and recommendations.
  • Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
  • Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing educational opportunities, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state of the art practices and networking.
  • Demonstrate behaviors that will win guests for life.

  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner and use constructive feedback to make improvements.

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma. Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a high volume food service, restaurant, or retail environment. 
  • Previous management experience desired.
  • Food safety certification.
  • Proficient merchandising skills to plan and execute restaurant displays designed to drive profit and create interest.
  • Proficient management and leadership skills.
  • Proficient organization and planning skills, especially to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in excel, word and email. Able to learn and use a variety of proprietary applications and technology.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting - Up to 50 lbs.
  • Standing - Approximately 95% of shift
  • Walking/Reaching - Approx 70% of shift
  • Bending/Squatting/Kneeling -Approx 20% of shift
  • Twisting - Approximately 30% of shift
  • Pushing/Pulling - Approx. 15% of shift
