The Data Conversion Engineer ensures that the data conversions are delivered to customers on time and to the required quality standards. Through the execution of technical and administrative tasks, the Engineer works with the customer and trainer to deliver data conversions according to specifications. This position will work cooperatively with the Implementation Specialist to complete data Conversion as outlined within the workflow for the customer. This position is to include additional responsibilities as outlined below.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with the Implementation Specialist to complete data conversion as outlined within the workflow for the customer
  • Complete assigned tasks as outlined in the customer’s project plan and/or as outlined by the Project Manager and/or Implementation Specialist
  • Convert data from customers legacy system into new system based on required quality standards
  • Respect the end user’s knowledge and sentiment during all interactions
  • Provide accurate and appropriate feedback/reporting regarding the data integrity
  • Respond and/or monitor customer issues reported by Implementation Specialists or directly reported by customers during the deployment period
  • Assist the Project Manager in completing all deployment scheduling and preā€assessment activities

 

Skills & Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • BA in CS or equivalent work experience 
  • One (1) to three (3) years of healthcare industry experience
  • One (1) to three (3) years in similar role (data conversions, DBA or data migrations, SQL developer)
  • One (1) to three (3) years’ experience in SQL 2008/2012, Oracle 10/11G, or Progress DB development
  • Experience executing development and building scripts is required

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Must have the ability to complete practice, documents and images conversion
  • Must have the ability to communicate with customers and internal partners
  • Strong organization skills required
  • Must have project –management skills
  • Must have strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel as needed

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
  • This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of the workday
  • This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
  • Must be able to work remotely, manage workload efficiently, prioritize projects with minimal supervision, and maintain a quiet setting while working with customers
  • The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
  • Infrequent travel may be required (annually)

This means you will be expected to work on-site at the corporate office for part of the week and remotely for the remainder.
