We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on AWS and a passion for integrating security practices into the DevOps process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a range of AWS-based applications.
- Implement and manage security measures and controls throughout the CI/CD process.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Design and implement infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation or similar tools.
- Monitor and manage AWS environments to ensure security and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in the ongoing effort to automate and streamline our operations and processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Two (2)+ years of experience in a DevSecOps role with a focus on AWS.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, microservices, monitoring, logging, and communication and collaboration tools.
- Hands-on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proficient in building and deploying container-based applications using AWS services.
- Knowledge of AWS design principles, architectural best practices, and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with automated testing and deployment tools including Jenkins, Artifactory
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- While at work, this position is primarily a sedentary job and requires that the associate can work in an environment where they will consistently be seated for the majority of the workday
- This role requires that one can sit and regularly type on a keyboard the majority of the workday
- This position requires the ability to observe a computer screen for long periods of time to observe their own and others’ work, as well as in-coming and out-going communications via the computer and/or mobile devices
- The role necessitates the ability to listen and speak clearly to customers and other associates
