Job Summary
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounting Clerk to support our accounting operations with a primary focus on Accounts Payable and general accounting activities. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in accuracy, and is comfortable handling moderately complex transactions in a fast‑paced environment.
The Accounting Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining accounting records, supporting reconciliations, and assisting with financial reporting and audits. This position works closely with other members of the accounting and finance teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and required approvals
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable activities, including invoice entry, voucher preparation, and payment processing
• Prepare and post general ledger and journal entries
• Reconcile accounts such as accounts payable, bank accounts, and credit card statements; research and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized and complete accounting files and supporting documentation
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close activities and preparation of financial reports
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed
• Utilize accounting systems and automated tools to enter data, generate reports, and respond to inquiries
• Assist with payroll data entry or verification, when applicable
• Provide general support to the accounting team and assist with special projects or administrative tasks
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar platforms preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
