·         Ensure accuracy and compliance with both US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards

·         Develop, as required, and maintain financial governance standards that support financial reporting integrity and ensure audit-readiness, including strong documentation of policies, procedures and controls.

·         Partner with Legal, Sales, Revenue Operations, FP&A, and other cross-functional business stakeholders on contracts, revenue recognition, accounting conclusions, and financial insights.

Accounting Transformation & Automation

·         Document current-state process logic, translate accounting rules into automation requirements, and build or partner to build scalable workflows and exception-based review models.

·         Maintain strong change management practices for all process, system, and automation enhancements.

·         Establish an automation opportunity pipeline and track value delivered through time savings, risk reduction, close acceleration, and cost reduction.

Data, Analytics & Financial Intelligence

·         Develop dashboards, exception reporting, variance analysis models, and financial intelligence routines that reduce manual data gathering and GL transaction research.

·         Use analytics and AI-enabled capabilities to identify anomalies, explain financial drivers, prioritize risks, and generate first-draft commentary for management review.

·         Partner with FP&A and business leaders to convert accounting data into actionable insight, cost savings, and improved decision support.

Systems & Technology Leadership

·         Serve as a Finance owner for accounting-related workflows, requirements, testing, data validation, controls, and enhancements across D365 Finance, Salesforce, and Microsoft-based automation and analytics tools.

·         Use or help deploy tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Platform, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, SQL, close management tools, or RPA where appropriate.

·         Improve data quality, master data governance, chart of accounts usage, integrations, and system controls that support continuous accounting.

Team Leadership & Change Management

·         Lead and coach accounting team members through the shift from manual process execution to exception management, analytics, automation ownership, and control oversight.

·         Communicate complex accounting, systems, data, and automation concepts clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

·         Create a culture of curiosity, accountability, continuous improvement, and practical innovation.

Success Measures

·         Maintain the highest standards of financial statement accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

·         Percentage of journal entries, reconciliations, reports, controls, or commentary automated or moved to exception-based review.

·         Reduction in manual data gathering, GL research, manual review burden, and recurring close effort.

·         Improved anomaly detection, control effectiveness, audit readiness, and time-to-insight.

·         Quantified value delivered through cost savings, productivity improvement, risk reduction, and business insight.

·         Hands-on ERP experience required. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance experience preferred.

·         Public accounting experience preferred, but finance transformation, systems, automation, and analytics experience will be weighted heavily.

Required Skills & Knowledge
