About the Position

Position is primarily responsible for providing cosmetology services, using chemical supplies, such as permanent waves, hair coloring, rinses, and special treatments.  Services will also include haircuts.

This position pays $21.50/hr 

Job Duties

  • Prepares the equipment and supplies necessary for the task to be performed.
  • Provides shampoo and sets, haircuts, eyebrow arching and dying, manicures, pedicures, hair coloring, rinses, and special treatments.
  • Assists residents to and from the Beauty Salon when necessary.
  • Assists with keeping all salons clean, including roller carts, styling and shampoo stations, supply room; keep floors swept, and assists with general cleanliness of the Salon.
  • Makes appointments for residents, answers telephone, and post charges in the POS system.
  • Ensures the safety of the residents while in the Beauty Salon.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Cosmetologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Must be able to relate to and work with challenging residents within the facility.
  • Must possess ability to deal tactfully and effectively with residents and staff, and communicate clearly.
