We have a need for a Solutions Architect. In this role, the Pursuit/Solutions Architect will provide key pursuit (management and technology) leadership as Octo evolves and matures its Business, Information, Application, and Technology Service offerings to provide higher level/value-based services, solutions and capabilities in support of the market place. This position requires someone that can work comfortably and simultaneously in a business, engineering, information technology, and operations environment understanding customers' needs and then be able to articulate the solution and capture strategy that targets those needs.

Interface across the Business Units and work closely with Business Development, Capture, Proposal, and Operations personnel to recommend appropriate technology and business solutions for existing customers and new customers aligned to opportunities that expand the current base of business.

Be the business and technical face to external customers and partners positioning Octo as the first choice in strategic services and solutions, partnering with Business Development, Capture, and Program Management teams.

Serve as a change agent to create a more collaborative and information sharing culture within the division.

Participate in development of 1-5 year strategies, goals, and objectives to accomplish operational and growth targets with a focus on future high payoff areas in technology services.

Develop Pursuit Solutions, define Service Delivery CONOPS, and assist in strategic proposal development and reviews. Work with Capture teams to ensure proposal solutions are well communicated and messaging integrated across each delivered proposal artifact. Ensure proposed solutions properly align with customer cost objectives and price to win objectives.

Follow and understand technology trends, and partner OEMs roadmaps, to recommend future Solutions and Service offerings.

Analyze industry technology and innovation direction and recommend investments to develop Solutions and Service Offerings

Provide strategic direction commensurate with business goals and objectives.

Work across Octo to leverage core capabilities and competencies.

Coordinate technology activities in order to maximize competitive positioning and advantage, and to develop new and emerging capabilities.

 

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred
  • DoD/IC/Federal Clearance highly desired
  • Requires 15 years’ experience with minimum of 10 years of experience in the information technology arena with current in-depth knowledge of applicable Federal Agencies.
  • Demonstrated capability to provide proactive and engaging leadership, able to energize and motivate mid-to senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge in several of the following areas: large scale IT infrastructure design and integration, enterprise IT, logistics services, network and systems integration, network operations, administration and engineering, information assurance/security, video teleconferencing, and website enhancement.

A confident, self-directed, credible business and technology professional with drive and energy.

  • Able to articulate ideas concisely in an interactive and facilitative environment within Octo and our customers.
  • Able to build effective working relationships based on trust, integrity, and the best interests of the company and navigate in a growing company environment.
