The AFLCMC program team is seeking AGILE software integration/development and other efforts to improve the performance of ISR systems, including the AF DCGS and other similar programs. This effort will support the AF DCGS Weapon System, including its network, security, GEOINT, SIGINT,
Multi-INT, Sensors, operations, maintenance, interfaces, and other Intelligence or related systems or items. The Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS), also referred to as the AN/GSQ272
SENTINEL weapon system, is the Air Force’s primary Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
Planning and direction, collection, processing and exploitation, analysis and dissemination (PCPAD)Weapon system.
This effort will provide the Air Force with an AGILE software integration/development
Services Team which will feature strategic team members co-located with the AFLCMC product teams at multiple CONUS locations, primarily in the Boston, MA Area, to support a culture of continuous improvement across the teams.
The Scrum Master must have experience with the Agile method, as well as conventional
Software Engineering. Individual must possess experience using/implemented and/or leading Agile software development teams. Candidate will have the ability to strongly serve and support the Product Owner and Development Team, provide support to the team as a servant leader and personify Scrum and Agile. Capable of using various management tools like Confluence and Jira.
Candidate must possess First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM ), good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Knowledge of numerous well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.),
Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc.,
Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc.
Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.
2+ years’ experience in Scrum Master role for a software development team, with agile and lean philosophies
Second or Third level Scrum Master certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC) – A BIG PLUS
Bachelor’s degree plus five years of experience in software engineering in programs which deal in government Information Technology.
Clearance: Top Secret Minimum/ TS/SCI Preferred
