Job Description

  • Reporting on planned and executed sales activities to appropriate levels of management
  • Generating a specified volume of business within an established time frame
  • Keeping management apprised of current and anticipated market conditions
  • Maintaining a strong network, and maintaining ongoing client relationships after project start-up
  • Has an established network of Higher Education, Healthcare and Commercial clients.
  • Regional and occasional outside region travel is required (NJ, PA, DE, MD)
  • Track the results of and collect feedback for new business pursuits
  • Track all sales activities in internal database. 
  • Organize, attend and contribute to meetings with internal teams, as well as clients, developers, A/Es to ensure alignment and responsiveness
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and marketing team members against strict deadlines
  • Ability to organize use of time in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to listen in a way that builds and maintains rapport with internal and external clients
  • Experience with sales pursuits processes (i.e., presell, RFPs, RFQs, presentations)
  • Ability to convey thoughts, ideas, recommendations and technical information in a clearly understood and concise manner
  • Ensure strict adherence to quality control methods and department processes required for the production of quality work product and timely delivery of submittals/deliverables
  • Self-starter who has the ability to multi-task
Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years working in Business Development/Project Development for a General Contractor for Commercial & Institutional construction.
  • Experience working with a variety of construction projects and contract types; Lump Sum, Design Build and Construction Management.
  • Excellent communication, both oral and written.
  • Proficient in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
