Job Description

• Provides on-site field administration/supervision and technical management for all construction operations, including direct supervision of Assistants, Foreman, subcontractors, and other construction related personnel.
• Ensure timely project completion through project scheduling and coordination and expediting of material deliveries.
• Responsible for all site activities (plan and specification adherence, quality of work, safety, and overall coordination).
• Assist Project Management and Preconstruction with development of the initial CPM schedule. Develop and maintain the project Three Week Look Ahead Schedule.  Update, maintain, communicate, and manage all subcontractors and vendors to the schedule. 
• Develop, control, maintain, and enforce a project site logistics plan and temporary facilities plan.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and enforce a project specific quality assurance and quality control program.
• Perform and monitor all project control reporting measures including daily reports, quality assurance reporting, accident and incident reports (theft/fire/vandalism/accident), Safety and Erosion and Sediment Control Reports. 
• Perform or manage the site orientations with all subcontractors, vendors, etc. 
• Oversee and ensure compliance with CCIP program requirements including confirmation of subcontractor enrollment, accident/incident reporting, site inspections and the like. 
• Have a working knowledge of all project plans, specifications, Owner Contract, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, daily correspondence, RFI’s, shop drawings, submittals, and all other project related documents, and maintain a complete and accurate set of as-built documents.
• Oversee all layout and field engineering in accordance with all project requirements.
• Coordinate daily construction activities within existing operating facilities.
• Develop and execute a plan for monitoring and completing punchlist items.
• Ensures that Safety Orientations occur for all subcontractors. 
• Inspect the site and check for OSHA violations and unsafe practices and conditions.
• Assist and work closely with the Project Manager with all field related activities.
• Instrumental with the implementation and interpretation of safety programs.
• Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to. 
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation and records according to State and Federal compliance as well as company procedures.
• Notification of all subcontractors and vendors of job status and upcoming responsibilities.
• Manage and oversee all third-party Inspections (Township, State, financing institutions, environmental, health department, etc.).
• Coordinate all third-party on-site testing (soils, concrete, steel, masonry, fireproofing, etc.).
• Notify Architects/Engineers of required/needed inspections.
• Conduct weekly foreman meetings (safety, work procedures, site storage and staging).
• Maintain a clean and organized site and trailer/office.
 

Skills & Requirements

• Preferred four (4) year degree in a construction-related curriculum or equivalent experience in field-related duties, including any accredited apprentice programs.
• 7+ years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes.
• In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower.
• Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer.
• Experience with construction related software (i.e., Primavera, Procore or Microsoft Office) preferred.
