Job Description

• Review documentation on active projects to ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per company procedures, and implement appropriate corrective actions as required.
• Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas.
• Schedule and conduct internal compliance audits on active project sites on a regular basis. Report findings to site team and safety team.
• Maintain a weekly safety inspection checklist log for all active projects.
• Lead weekly safety staff meetings and create weekly schedules for team.
• Schedule and organize Sub-Contractor Outreach and Alignment meetings.
• Organize and deliver safety documentation startup kits to new projects.
• Complete weekly reports and review with Safety Director.
• Assist in development of safety presentations for internal meetings.
• Schedule monthly CCIP Inspections.
• Organize annual Citadel Safety Conference including accommodations for attendees.
• Organize annual Safety Week with Safety Team.
• Train new employees in safety procedures and performing routine inspections to ensure compliance.
• Assist safety team with maintaining metrics, trend data to evaluate and address areas for continued safety improvement.
• Assist safety team with updating safety policies following industry best practices to control and mitigate hazards as needed.
• Assist safety team by proving ongoing communications to employees as a reminder of industry hazards and importance to comply with safety.
• Assist safety team with developing programs that engage employees in safety awareness and recognize positive behaviors.
• Assist safety team to make improvements and implement required changes.
• Job responsibilities and duties are required in the office and field.
• Achieve agreed personal targets and assist safety team to achieve team targets.
• Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with job position.
• Will be expected to be a part of special projects relating to job position along with secondary duties.
• Responsible for your allocated workload and must meet all targets as agreed with your Safety Director.
• Position entails traveling 2-3 days a week to project jobsites.  

 

Skills & Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health related field; OR 3 year’s equivalent job experience in construction industry with collateral role in safety. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). 
• Excellent communication, planning, organization, problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to efficiently interact with all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated/ capable of working independently without direct supervision
• Valid driver’s license
• You need to have and maintain the knowledge, technical skills and qualifications that are necessary to perform your job role to comply with the requirements of the company and any applicable rules, regulations and with any law which applies to your job role
• Ability to maintain confidentially.  
• Proficient/experience in working in Project Management Software applications (Primavera, Procore, etc.) is a plus.
