Central Research, Inc. is actively seeking Regional Coordinators in support of a potential contract award with the Army National Guard (ARNG). Multiple positions are available and may be located nationwide (virtual work environment now and post pandemic). These positions will directly support the Army National Guard Program for Military Funeral Honors (MFH) and Survivor Outreach Services (SOS). We are seeking one MFH Regional Coordinator for each of the four national regions: NW, SW, NE, SE. MFH Regional Coordinators will be responsible for leading and managing MFH State Coordinators.
On January 1, 2000, the United States Congress passed public law 106-65 and NDAA for FY 2000 that the ARNG will perform Veterans funeral honors for those that have served honorably in our armed forces. The execution of MFH shows the Nation’s deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, have faithfully defended our country. This ceremonial paying of respect is the final demonstration a grateful Nation can provide to the Veterans’ families. The MFH program performs professional and dignified military funeral honors in accordance with service traditions and the honor deserved.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Assure all MFH State Coordinators are vetting all mission requests IAW published guidance
Assure all MFH State Coordinators enter all mission requests into the MFH database within 24 hours and closeout all missions within 72 hours
Assure all MFH State Coordinators are following the ARNG MFH Training SOP and overseeing all training within their respective state/territories
Assure all MFH State Coordinators are properly trained to perform all the assigned tasks
Mentor and advise all staff in areas of program understanding and compliance of Army, NGB, State NG, and IMCOM guidance and regulations
Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):
High school diploma / GED
Two or more years’ experience as a member of the military or as a civilian supporting the military
Two or more years’ experience leading a geographically dispersed team of more than ten employees
Be a US citizen
Be available 24/7/365 to support this program
Have knowledge of military funerals and casualty assistance programs
Demonstrate a passion for this type of work
Successfully pass a background check
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to travel on short notice
Ability to travel by air and car
Live near major airport
Possess a valid and current driver’s license
