The Work You’ll Do:

The Counsel position is responsible for legal support of Sovos’ business units in France and Europe, providing commercial support and advice in the negotiation of client, partner and vendor agreements. Additionally, the Counsel may be required to provide support in relation to regulatory matters that affect Sovos products in France.

What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?

• Negotiates contracts between Sovos and its French and European clients
• Develops and maintains contract templates
• Assists in maintaining EU privacy policies and procedures
• Negotiates vendor/supplier agreements
• Maintains document files and coordinating all contracting process flow with respect to clients and vendors
• Supports corporate legal efforts in France including entity organization and governance matters
• Takes full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction
• Comprehends and communicates complex concepts

What We Need From You:

• Law degree and duly licensed to practice law in France
• Proficiency in French and English are required.
• Interest on software and SaaS licensing
• Negotiating skills
• Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems 
• Demonstrates a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning
• Acts with integrity and demonstrates ethical behavior in all matters with all stakeholders
• Interacts effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers
