The Work You'll Do:
Commercial Account Executives are responsible for working with new clients to sell company products and close long-term contracts. Additional responsibilities include contract negotiations, updating sales force automation tools, and managing all aspects of the prospecting and sales renewals process. This role oversees the sales process from BRFC to Close, while effectively leveraging resources throughout the sales cycle on strategic deals and clearly communicating the value propositions of Sovos' products and services. The position will collaborate with various departments across the company, with a focus on Sales, Legal, and Finance.
More specifically, you will:
- Prospect within assigned territory to generate leads for new client sales and grow pipeline opportunities.
- Promote and sell SaaS solutions to new accounts, while developing and executing strategic opportunity plans to ensure quota attainment.
- Demonstrate integrity, ethical behavior, and take responsibility for client satisfaction (internal and external).
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop new ideas and business strategies.
- Use multiple communication methods effectively to engage clients and stakeholders.
- Plan and execute territory strategies, prioritizing time management to uncover opportunities and understand client needs.
- Serve as a role model and mentor within the organization, sharing best practices and collaborating across teams.
- Proactively seek career advancement opportunities and learning experiences.
- Participate in trainings, webinars, and ask questions to deepen understanding.
- Collaborate with support teams to gain insights on how solutions work.
- Join the company’s mentor program as a mentee or create your own program or cloud rotation.
- Develop a thorough understanding of product functionality from the perspective of the support team.
What We Need From You
- Ability to navigate and manage full sales cycles.
- 1-3 years of experience in a BDR, quota-carrying sales role, or similar position; software solution sales preferred.
- Familiarity with contact management solutions, preferably Salesforce.com.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
