The Work You'll Do
As the Director of RFP Management, you will lead Sovos’ end-to-end RFP response process, ensuring high-quality, timely, and compelling proposals for our most strategic and complex global SaaS opportunities. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that blends strategic thinking, content development, and operational excellence.
You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, Legal, Security, and executive leadership to ensure a consistent and effective go-to-market approach that reflects Sovos’ voice, value, and commitment to excellence.
You’ll also be responsible for building and maintaining processes that improve scalability, efficiency, and win rates—ultimately ensuring a positive experience for prospective and existing customers alike.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Own the full lifecycle of the RFP process, from intake and qualification to submission and post-mortem analysis.
- Establish best practices and workflows to streamline RFP responses, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with deadlines.
- Evaluate incoming RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires to determine strategic fit and response viability.
- Develop and maintain a centralized RFP knowledge base with reusable content, templates, and past responses.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Legal, and Security to gather critical information and craft compelling responses.
- Work closely with executive leadership to align RFP responses with company strategy, key differentiators, and market positioning.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements in all RFP submissions.
- Conduct reviews and approvals to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with Sovos’ brand voice and value propositions.
- Track and analyze RFP outcomes, win/loss trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to automate and enhance the RFP process through technology and workflow optimizations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor responses, and best practices to enhance Sovos’ RFP strategy.
- Maintain a culture of continuous process improvement with respect to CRM usage, sales cycles, and Solution Engineering enablement.
- Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior in all interactions.

What We Need From You:
- You have 5+ years of RFP management experience within a SaaS or enterprise software environment.
- You have experience working with RFPIO or Responsive RFP software for content management and automation.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or bring equivalent experience.
- You have a solid understanding of global SaaS solutions, compliance, and regulatory technology—or a strong desire to learn.
- You’re a strong project manager, able to manage multiple RFPs under tight deadlines.
- You’re a skilled writer and editor with excellent attention to detail and a clear, professional tone.
- You can influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams, even without direct authority.
- You bring an analytical mindset and use data to continuously improve processes.
- You thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and bring a strong team orientation.
- You’re comfortable managing multiple projects and prioritizing effectively.
- You have strong skills with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- You’re self-motivated and driven to succeed in everything you do.
