The Work You’ll Do

As Senior Manager, Accounting, you’ll lead our General Ledger (GL) close team based in India (Navi Mumbai). You’ll manage and develop a team of accountants responsible for executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close process across our global entity structure. This is a leadership role where your expertise and guidance will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across Sovos worldwide.

More specifically, you will:

• Manage the end‑to‑end GL close process, ensuring timely and accurate statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, income tax).

• Coordinate with tax advisors for audits and compliance requirements.

• Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

• Maintain close calendars and deadlines, collaborating across time zones.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of GL accountants, fostering accountability and growth.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate close processes.

• Partner with global FP&A to support budgets and forecasts.

• Participate in global and Indian audits, managing deliverables and responses.

What We Need From You

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years managing a close function.

• CA or internationally recognized finance qualification.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and close procedures.

• Experience managing teams in a global, multinational environment.

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

• Background in SaaS and subscription revenue models.

• Strong organizational and project management skills under tight deadlines.

• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Knowledge of GST compliance and e‑filing procedures.
