The Work You'll Do:
The Product Manager role ensures that a Sovos product is selling, taking new market share, and customers are happy and renewing. The role is responsible for execution of product strategy and direction, product resource allocation, and go-to-market for a product or segment of the Sovos portfolio. A Product Manager possesses strong communication and team building skills, is adept at partnering cross functionally across the organization, and gains shared vision on challenging decisions impacting many organizations. The role requires closely engaging the market including distribution channels, market influencers, and our customers. They will define and drive delivery of a product which customers can't imagine how they worked or operated without.
More specifically you will:
- Lead a broad segment of the Sovos portfolio of products
- Execute strategic direction for one product or segment of the Sovos portfolio
- Leverage market problems and opportunities for their product area
- Validate definition and sizing of market segments, whitespace and greenfield opportunities
- Contributes to the definition of product roadmap
- Leverage the company's distinctive competence in execution of our strategy Ensures optimal execution of product roadmap through the Agile Development process, including definition of Release Plans, epics and oversight of Product Owners, stories and backlog
- Facilitate buy/build/partner decisions
- Contribute to marketing & go-to-market plan
- Develop, socializes and maintains buyer personas
- Document the typical buying process and core value proposition
- Assist in tracking product profitability and win/loss analysis
- Position product for relevant markets and buyer types
- Contribute to the business plan, including pricing
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, MIS, or Computer Science required
- 2+ years of experience in product management, particularly in agile development environments
- Background and experience in ERP Systems or Sales, Use and Value-Added Tax preferred
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized, with demonstrated ability to establish priorities and achieve results with very strong communication skills
- Solid decision making skills in the face of imperfect data
- Ability to work well individually and within a cross functional team
- Capable of interfacing with senior leaders and C-level personnel both with clients and internally
- Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth
- Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning
- Minimal travel required to Sovos locations and events
