The Work You'll Do:

The Senior GTM Planning & Analytics Analyst will provide the analytical capacity, planning discipline, and decision support required to scale Sovos’ go-to-market strategy and planning function. This role will maintain and enhance the models supporting annual operating planning, bookings projections, capacity, productivity, territories, quotas, coverage, and organizational design while partnering with key cross functional partners turning complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.

Working closely with Sales leadership, Finance, HR, Compensation, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Sales Operations, and other partners, the analyst will help ensure that plans are fact-based, internally consistent, documented, and executable. The role requires strong analytical judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader business strategy.

More specifically, you will:

  • Annual operating planning: Support the end-to-end AOP process by maintaining assumptions, timelines, planning models, scenario analyses, decision logs, approvals, and handoff materials.
  • Capacity and productivity modeling: Partner with Finance to maintain models for seller capacity, productivity, ramp, attrition, hiring timing, coverage, conversion, deal size, sales cycles, seasonality, and other drivers that influence achievable performance.
  • Territory and coverage analysis: Evaluate account potential, ICP alignment, whitespace, geographic and segment coverage, territory balance, seller capacity, and organizational design options. Prepare recommendations and supporting evidence for leadership review.
  • Quota planning and validation: Support quota methodology, allocation, over-assignment analysis, productivity assumptions, rep- and leader-level reconciliation, exception analysis, and quality assurance before approved quotas are handed to Compensation and Sales Operations for deployment.
  • Scenario modeling and decision support: Develop clear alternatives, sensitivities, tradeoffs, and recommendations for organizational changes, capacity decisions, territory changes, and other strategic GTM questions.
  • Strategic reporting and insights: Support VCP and other strategic reporting through business requirements, analytical design, data validation, commentary, trend analysis, and quality control. Help translate results into executive-level insights.
  • Data quality and governance: Identify data gaps, inconsistent definitions, missing fields, reconciliation issues, and process breakdowns that affect planning or analysis. Document impacts and coordinate resolution with Sales Operations, Finance, BI, and system owners.
  • Planning documentation and governance: Maintain planning charters, assumptions, methodology, decision records, version control, governance materials, design principles, requirements, and final planning documentation.
  • Acquisition and integration analysis: Gather and analyze organizational structures, historical bookings, contracts, products, customers, capacity, and performance data to support integration strategy and planning decisions.
  • Cross-functional initiative support: Provide analysis, requirements documentation, action tracking, and decision support for strategic initiatives involving Sales, Finance, HR, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, Professional Services, and Operations.Execution handoffs and quality assurance: Translate approved decisions into clear requirements and deployment instructions for Sales Operations. Validate outputs against approved designs without assuming ownership of routine system administration or field execution.

What We Need From You:

  • Five or more years of experience in GTM planning, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, FP&A, strategy, business analytics, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience with capacity planning, territory design, quota planning, sales productivity, coverage modeling, or annual operating planning.
  • Advanced Excel or comparable financial and analytical modeling skills, including scenario analysis, reconciliation, sensitivity analysis, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to synthesize large and imperfect datasets into clear findings, assumptions, risks, and recommendations.
  • Experience translating business decisions into documented requirements and effective handoffs to operational or technical teams.
  • Strong business writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex analysis to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project discipline, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple interdependent workstreams and deadlines.

  Preferred

  • Experience in a global, multi-product SaaS or technology organization.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, BI platforms, data-enrichment sources, and common GTM data structures.
  • Experience partnering with Finance, HR, Compensation, Sales leadership, and Operations during annual planning.
  • Familiarity with account segmentation, ICP scoring, whitespace analysis, pipeline analytics, and data governance.
  • Good to have but not required to have experience supporting acquisition integration, organizational redesign, or large-scale GTM transformation.
