The Work You'll Do
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you'll be a key member of Sovos' global accounting team, helping ensure the smooth and accurate execution of Accounts Payable operations across multiple regions and legal entities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, you'll support Sovos' global business operations across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multinational environment and is eager to contribute to a growing global organization.
More Specifically, You Will:
- Process vendor invoices across multiple global entities, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and timely posting within the ERP system.
- Manage weekly and ad-hoc payment runs across multiple currencies and banking platforms while maintaining compliance with internal controls.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and AP subledger-to-general ledger reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor master records, including onboarding new suppliers, validating banking and tax documentation, and ensuring data integrity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and internal stakeholders regarding invoice and payment status.
- Support month-end close activities by preparing AP accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and analyze monthly Accounts Payable KPI reporting for management.
- Support annual Form 1099 and Form 1042-S reporting requirements for U.S. entities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, GST, VAT, withholding tax, and other jurisdictional requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests related to Accounts Payable.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate processes across regions while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 3-6 years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience, preferably within a multinational organization or shared services environment.
- Qualified or part-qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP or IFRS fundamentals.
- Sound knowledge of Indian statutory compliance requirements, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and FEMA regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional team environment.
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a fast-paced global finance organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with NetSuite, ERPNext, or other ERP systems.
- Experience supporting multiple legal entities across regions.
- Exposure to technical accounting, financial research, and reporting.
- Experience working with international teams and global finance processes.
- Interest in process improvement, automation, and operational excellence.
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis techniques.
