At Sovos, we're transforming tax compliance from a business requirement into a driver of growth through AI-powered technology that delivers the accurate, real-time insights businesses need to make smarter decisions.

We're solving more than today's tax compliance challenges. We're helping reshape global economies by enabling organizations to navigate increasingly complex and rapidly changing regulatory environments with confidence – and helping communities thrive.

AI is accelerating what's possible, enabling tax and technology professionals to more effectively drive critical regulatory decisions. That's where Sovos excels, combining intelligent technology with human expertise to help customers stay ahead of change.

Don't worry if you don't check every box. We're focused on hiring great people, not perfect resumes. It's less about what you've done elsewhere and more about what you're capable of doing here.

At Sovos, we're building the operational backbone that powers revenue integrity and customer experience across a global tax compliance business spanning 70+ countries. As Senior Manager, OTC, you'll own the end-to-end Order to Cash process globally, leading a skilled team in India while partnering with finance leaders across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC to drive process excellence, cash flow optimisation, and operational efficiency at scale. Don't worry if you don't check all the boxes - apply anyway! We're focused on hiring the right people, not just the "right" resume. It's not about what you've done elsewhere; it's all about what you're capable of doing here.

More specifically, you will:

  • Own the global OTC process architecture from order intake through cash receipt and reconciliation, defining policies, procedures, and controls that ensure compliance and audit readiness across all regions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled OTC team in India while navigating matrix reporting relationships, influencing regional OTC resources globally, and fostering a environment of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee order management and billing operations for SaaS and professional services revenue, ensuring accuracy for complex deal structures including multi-element arrangements, usage-based billing, and multi-currency transactions in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Lead global AR collections strategy to maintain DSO within target thresholds, oversee cash application operations, and establish customer risk segmentation and proactive collection playbooks for high-value accounts.
  • Lead dispute resolution processes including root cause analysis, credit memo management, and executive-level escalations, championing a approach that prioritizes customer experience and reduces billing friction that reduces friction in the billing and collections experience.
  • Lead OTC digital transformation by identifying automation opportunities, serving as the principal stakeholder for OTC technology (Salesforce CPQ/Billing, NetSuite/ERP, cash automation tools), and leveraging AI tools to improve collections effectiveness and cash application accuracy.
  • Own OTC KPI reporting (DSO, AR ageing, collection effectiveness index, bad debt reserves, cash forecast accuracy), support financial close activities, and present performance insights and improvement plans to senior finance leadership.
  • 15+ years of progressive Finance Operations / OTC experience, with at least 4 years in a management or senior leadership role.

  • You've built deep expertise managing global OTC functions within matrix organisational structures across multiple geographies and time zones, with experience in order management, billing, AR, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
  • You have a strong track record leading large, cross-functional teams and leading measurable process improvements such as DSO reduction, automation implementation, and error rate reduction.
  • You understand ASC 606 revenue recognition principles and their impact on billing and OTC workflows, ideally gained in a SaaS, technology, or high-growth software company environment.
  • You're proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and CRM/CPQ platforms (Salesforce preferred), OTC analytics (AR ageing, DSO, CEI, cash flow forecasting), and comfortable with AI-assisted workflows and automation tools.
  • CA, CPA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent experience in finance/accounting
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
