The Role
At Sovos, we're looking for a Knowledge Management Specialist to organize, maintain, and optimize our support knowledge assets. You'll develop strategies that make critical information accessible, create content that helps people solve problems, and ensure everything we publish is accurate, searchable, and ready for AI-powered systems. This role is all about turning institutional knowledge into practical, usable resources that support our global customers and teams.
More specifically, you will:
- Develop and implement knowledge management strategies that align with organizational goals and improve how we capture and share information.
- Create, organize, and maintain support content across multiple channels, including knowledge bases, documentation, FAQs, and training materials.
- Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and optimized for AI systems, search engines, and user accessibility.
- Use analytics to track how knowledge assets perform and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular content audits to maintain consistency, quality, and relevance across all materials.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture and document institutional knowledge effectively.
- Leverage AI tools to improve document generation, maintenance workflows, and content discoverability.
- Identify knowledge gaps within the organization and develop solutions to address them.
What You Bring to Sovos
- Experience in knowledge management, technical writing, or content management — whether through a degree in Information Science, Technical Communication, or hands-on work.
- You know how to structure information for clarity and findability, whether you've done it in knowledge management, technical writing, or content management roles., and you understand how to structure information for clarity and findability.
- Strong writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise content.
- Experience with knowledge management systems, content management tools, and information architecture principles.
- Familiarity with AI content optimization, natural language processing, and comfort with AI-assisted workflows.
- Basic understanding of data analytics for measuring content performance and informing content strategy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and extract knowledge from subject matter experts.
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check upon hire.
