This Solution Specialist position is a data analyst role; an internally facing position on the Cvent Travel & Transient team. This position supports the Cvent Travel consulting team with the production of client-related deliverables, data processing and analysis. In addition, the Solutions Specialist will collaborate on the development of new processes & deliverables; identify opportunities to increase efficiencies around existing deliverables/processes; and contribute to cross-cloud special projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Production of Cvent Travel-related deliverables for fee-based Services projects
  • Tasked with development of process efficiencies
  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and project timelines are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain a broad-working knowledge of all Cvent Travel & Transient products
  • Perform other projects and duties as required.
  • Understand business objectives and converting them to data/reporting requirements
  • Provide recommendations on improving performance for teams based on data analysis

 

 

What You Need For This Position

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, or similar, from accredited college or university. Degree related to hospitality, business, or technology preferred.
  • Experience: Familiarity with travel agency or corporate travel management practices a plus.
  • Technical Competence: Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of MS office; specifically, Access, Excel (including pivot tables, analytical functions, and macros), as well as web-based systems such as RFP sourcing tools and Salesforce. VBA experience is a plus.
  • Superior Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interface with a wide range of personalities and levels within Cvent and client organizations; Professional communication style.
  • Customer Service Focus: Ability to use discretion and independent judgment to solve complex problems; Strong internal customer engagement service skills to drive improved use of capabilities.
  • Consultative Mind Set: Ability to think conceptually and apply past learnings to new situations
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Proactive listening; resourceful in collating and aggregating data; Analysis of diagnostic data to develop and implement best solution.
  • Creativity: Ability to review bid information and suggest additional data points to target negotiation strategy that align with client needs and requirements.
  • Detail Oriented: Detailed administrative skills for tracking and reporting
  • Independent – Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a demanding and often fast-paced environment, while balancing competing priorities
