POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager, Capital & Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset management and lease accounting in addition to restaurant accounting for our multi-unit restaurant company. This pivotal role involves ensuring compliance with accounting standards, implementing efficient processes, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to:

·         Maintain a comprehensive fixed asset management system.

·         Oversee the accurate and timely recording of fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor and control capital expenditures.

·         Lead lease accounting activities in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 842).

·         Ensure accurate recording of lease-related transactions, including lease modifications and terminations.

·         Collaborate with real estate, legal, and supply chain teams to evaluate the financial impact of lease agreements and contracts.

·         Prepare and review financial reports related to fixed assets and lease accounting.

·         Supervise and mentor the restaurant accounting team responsible for day-to-day financial activities at individual restaurant locations.

·         Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including revenue, expenses, and inventory.

·         Provide insights into financial performance and variances to budget or forecasts.

·         Collaborate with restaurant managers and operational teams to monitor and analyze costs.

·         Assist in coordinating with internal and external auditors during audit processes.

·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to achieve overall company goals.

·         Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

·         Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and proactively adapt processes to maintain compliance.

·         Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

SKILLS & SPECIFICATIONS

Experience/Training:  

8+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on fixed asset and lease accounting.

 

 

Required

·         Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including ASC 842.

·         Ability to manage multiple time demands and deadlines.

·         Ability to prepare financial analyses from general ledger data.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.

·         Advanced Excel skills.

·         Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.

·         Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

·         Detail oriented, positive attitude and a proven ability to succeed.

 

Preferred:

·         Public accounting experience.

·         JD Edwards experience a plus.

Certifications & Licenses

·         Certified Public Accountant.

The salary for this position is $90,000-95,000
