Morfologica, Inc. is seeking several Data Architects who are willing to support established software development teams at various Federal Facilities throughout Northern Virginia.

Qualified candidates must have prior experience in being the lead technical resource for strategic oversight and planning of database structural design and development. Prior experience providing technical and strategic guidance to senior level database administrators and application developers in the creation and implementation of new databases is a must.

ONLY CANDIDATES WITH ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCES AND APPROPRIATE POLY WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Candidates must have several  years of Data Architect experience.

Some of the Responsibilities:

• Leading and consulting to all levels of the organization on the design, development and implementation of logical database structures.
• Develop data and metadata policies and procedures for structural design and development.
• Monitor industry trends and directions in database technology and tools; and present substantive technical recommendations to senior management.
• Oversees the strategic structural design and development of databases and metadata.
• Provide advanced technical direction to the maintenance of major existing databases supporting evolving applications and business processes.
• Provides extensive technical, strategic advice and guidance of the highest level to senior managers and technical resources in the creation and implementation of new data standards and databases.
• Reviews and assesses technical proposals requesting changes or upgrades to the existing databases.
• Plan new designs for integration into a database structure, using knowledge of the characteristics of the systems being added to the structure and the specifications for database interfaces to ensure effective integration and optimal database performance.

Candidates with fewer years of experience may also be considered depending on background.
