Má Pêche (meaning "mother peach") is lead by Executive Chef Matthew Rudofker (James Beard 'Rising Star of the Year' finalist) and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Additionally, the [BOH/FOH] services Fuku+, our Midtown location of our fried chicken sandwich shop. It is the only Momofuku restaurant that doesn't require a subway ride to get to if you're coming from the MoMA, the Theater District, Central Park, or work: it's in Midtown.
 
We are looking for a Beverage Manager to join our Ma Peche mangement team! Our Beverage Manager will be responsible for promoting the restaurants Beverage program while driving sales on the floor and education among staff!
 
Some things you'll be doing:
  • Financially responsible for the beverage program at the restaurant: includes sales, costs, and inventory management
  • Work with Chefs and Beverage Director to create a beverage program that elevates the food, is accessible to the guest, and maintains Momofuku’s core vision
  • Assist in all aspects of hiring, training, and disciplining staff
  • Develop & educate staff on salesmanship and product in order to drive sales
  • Constant re-evaluation of systems and procedures, and make constructive suggestions for progress
  • Day – to – day administrative and MOD duties including but not limited to: ordering product, Compeat work, menu maintenance, reservation system upkeep, preshift planning & maintaining storage areas
  • Sell beverage during regularly scheduled floor shifts
  • Uphold service and beverage standards through a mixture of MOD and service shifts.
  • Ensure guests enjoy the Momofuku experience!

Skills & Requirements

  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • Experience with purchasing and inventory systems
  • Strong understanding in beverage sales 
  • High Profile restaurant experience is preferred
  • Experience with both special and private dining
  • High Volume, fast-paced restaurant experience
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge
  • Court of Master Sommeliers ‘Certified’ Certification or equivalent is preferred
