JRC is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our amazing Maritime and Security in providing Systems Engineering support to the Navy's Strategic Systems Program (SSP), Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program. You will be joining a high performing team and develop a strong understanding of DoD, Department of the Navy, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) instructions and processes (e.g., DoD 5000).

As the Senior Systems Engineer, you will...

  • Provide Systems Engineering (SE) support for the Strategic Systems Program, Sea Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) program Assistant Program Manager
  • Execute the implementation of SE management practices including holding requirements Technical Review Boards, planning and oversight of installations including subsystem testing and certification
  • Provide technical rigor in supporting SE processes, including planning, execution, and closure of System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETR), overseeing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) implementation, Risk Management, Requirements Management, and assist with Local Configuration Control Boards (LCCB) preparation, coordination, and execution as necessary
  • Support planned and emergent production tasking, coordination and participation in SE community and programmatic meetings, plan and coordinate ship integration efforts for the product line, and support Test and Evaluation to Developmental Testing planning and execution. 

What you bring to the table...

  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience providing engineering support in DoD environment including demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering
  • An active DoD or DoE security clearance at the SECRET level (or have held and active clearance within the past 2 years)
  • Must be energetic, thoughtful, product-oriented, dependable, flexible, open-minded individual with an eagerness to learn with demonstrated strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, provide high quality services and products, while meeting strict deadlines and time constraints
  • Demonstrated forward thinking and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment and be onsite 2-3 times per week
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Bonus Points for...

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience leading SE working groups and independently managing stakeholders
  • Experience with Submarine force operations, the DoD Acquisition process or experience working in a program office environment with documentation, protocols, formats and deadlines
