The JRC team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Analyst to perform on-site, technical, program management, and systems engineering & integration management support services. This position will provide technical expertise and currency in Integrated Nuclear Weapons Security Systems (INWSS), SSBN fleet operational integration, issue resolution, technical documentation and analysis, capability-based assessment, and fundamentals of system engineering, to include determination of technical performance measures, test and analysis methods, and metrics and measures.

As the Senior Analyst, you will...

  • Support engineering analysis, trouble shooting and makes recommendations that require mechanical and electrical analysis, and INWSS (including Transit Protection Program (TPP)) operational expertise.
  • Monitor, coordinate, and assist the customer with: the integration of Navy fleet support operations; Fleet and submarine operations; United States Marine Corps (USMC) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) organizations, procedures and operations; U.S. Navy (USN) policy, methods and procedures for environmental protection, occupational safety and health, explosive safety, nuclear weapons safety and system safety. Identify and assess integration and interoperability issues, prepare and present recommendations and provide suggested courses of action.
  • Monitor, coordinate, integrate and assess work performed by other TPP Defense Security Services (DSS) Program participants, assisting with strategic planning regarding future procurements to ensure proper alignment with approved acquisition strategies.
  • Assist in coordinating interfaces with U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), Pacific Fleet (PACFLT), and the submarine operational commands: Commander Submarines Atlantic (CSL), Commander Submarines Pacific (CSP), Commander Submarine Groups (CSGs), Commander Submarine Squadrons (CSSs), USCG, and USMC. Participate in and provide appropriate SME support to various IPTs, WGs, Functional Managers, and Focus Teams as required.
  • Perform project management tasks in support of INWSS including TPP initiatives.
  • Support and contribute to internal communication tools providing status updates for external program reporting.

What you bring to the table...

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field.  NOTE: DoD experience may compensate for lack of Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD activities and high familiarity with DOD/DoN NWS policy and procedures.
  • Must have a current/valid SECRET Clearance and be able to qualify for a TOP SECRET clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools with intermediate experience in Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment with little direction, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks.
  • Working knowledge of writing principles and conventions and of the documentation process specific to DoD.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
