JRC is currently seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to work closely with the program management leaders and technical subject matter experts for the Strategic Systems Program (SSP). The Electrical Engineer will support Instrumentation Missile Pre-flight Tests and Missile Flight Tests for the Fleet Ballistic Missile program.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will...

  • Instruct Engineers and Technicians in the technical and operational facets regarding the Instrumentation used during Missile Pre-Flight checkout and Missile Flight Test Program
  • Develop training plans and training material.
  • Advise SSP on Flight Test Instrumentation, Range Safety, Pad Launches, Autonomous Flight Safety, Test Missile Kit, Coordinated Interfaces, Conversion of Tactical Missile to Test Missile, Test Flight Operations, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment
  • Drive requirements analysis and assessment of detailed designs
  • Execute trade studies and analysis of alternatives
  • Be the technical liaison between corporate, representative contractors, and the DOD senior staff
  • Create and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy

What you bring to the table...

  • A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of related professional experience
  • A government security clearance at the SECRET level or above or recently held a clearance and remain in favorable status
  • The ability to analyze processes and implement improvement strategies
  • You are a dedicated and ambitious self-starter who works well independently and with working groups
  • Excellent computer or technology skills
  • High-quality communication and presentation dexterity
  • Ability to support required travel (up to 30%)

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in:
    • supporting the Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile program
    • covering Range Safety requirements on National Missile Ranges
    • conducting Pad Launches
    • Command Destruct and Autonomous Flight Safety Systems
    • reading and interpreting telemetry data
